Kathryn Millar (KJ)
Auckland Staff Worker
Kia Ora friends and whanau, here are a few things about me.
I grew up in the multicultural community of South Auckland, so cross-cultural ministry has always been important to me.
My first experience in academia was a diploma in web design. Studying and tutoring this course, I picked up skills in adult learning styles, student mental health support, and academic processes. Then I worked in web design for a little while and completed a computer science degree at AUT. It was at AUT that I was introduced to TSCF.
Through TSCF, I really grew in my faith as I read the Bible at Uni. I was thrilled to get to know Jesus better and see him work in my friends too. As a result, it’s a joy to continue to reach students for Christ and change them for life. I’ve spent 3 years with TSCF in Christchurch and moved back to serve the growing team in Auckland! My role at Auckland Uni, with Christian Union and Veritas, involves training student leaders, reading the Bible one-to-one, equipping students to reach their peers, and equipping students to reach their workplace.
In my spare time, I enjoy classical and pop music, watching Marvel movies and having bubble tea with friends.
